This wine represents the history of Montello red wines and also of Italy, because it was one of the first examples of blending Cabernet and Merlot made in Italy after the war. At that time Count Loredan had begun to think about making a great red wine aged in large barrels, thus giving rise to this Riserva, which became the emblem of the territory. Later, in fact, the DOC Montello Asolo also recognized the sub-zone or cru of Venegazzù, precisely the Venegazzù Della Casa del Conte Loredan, where Cabernet Sauvignon is always in prevalence, combined also with a good part of Merlot and with a small touch of Cabernet Franc and Malbec reaches an extraordinary harmony.
