Donkey & Goat Chardonnay

2023   Flavors of baked apple, pear, and ripe peach dominate, complemented by hints of butterscotch and a delicate touch of baking spices.  

From their website: "For many years we have made Conzelman Vineyard Chardonnay strictly into Lily’s Pet Nat. In 2023, with an abundance of fruit and a colder vintage that allowed for a long hangtime and lots of ripeness at low brix, we felt it was the perfect opportunity to try and make a still chardonnay from Conzelman. It was a favorite amoung staff and customers, so we've made it again! This wine has all the zip and zing you would expect from Lily’s, but with added depth, complexity and richness. The later picking date and time in barrel adds a ripeness to the wine increasing its weight and concentration. Flavors of baked apple, pear, and ripe peach dominate, complemented by hints of butterscotch and a delicate touch of baking spices. The acidity is bright and refreshing, balancing the richness and providing a lingering finish and a touch of minerality. This wine showcases both fruit purity and judicious oak aging. An excellent choice for pairing with seafood dishes like halibut or with a creamy pasta."
