Huckleberry & Garlic Chili Marinade

Huckleberry & Garlic Chili Marinade

A Bold Marinade for Grilling Season

This Huckleberry & Garlic Chili Marinade is a flavorful way to bring sweet heat to your next grilled meal. Olive & Vyne’s Huckleberry Dark Balsamic adds rich, fruity depth, while Garlic Chili Olive Oil brings savory warmth with just enough kick to keep things interesting.

It’s bold without being complicated, making it a great option for grilled chicken, pork, steak, shrimp, tofu, or a hearty mix of vegetables. The balsamic helps add a touch of sweetness and caramelization, while the garlic chili oil brings that savory, slightly spicy finish that makes grilled food feel extra satisfying.

A Great Option for Tofu

For a plant-based option, this marinade works beautifully with extra-firm tofu. Press the tofu first so it can better absorb the marinade, then cut it into thick slabs or cubes before grilling, baking, or pan-searing.

The huckleberry balsamic adds a subtle sweet-tart glaze, while the garlic chili oil gives the tofu a savory kick and helps the edges get golden and flavorful.

Our Favorite Vegetable Mix

For a vegetarian-friendly option, we love this marinade with a mix of vegetables that can hold up well on the grill. Try a combination of:

Zucchini, bell peppers, red onion, mushrooms, and cherry tomatoes.

This mix gives you a nice balance of texture, color, and flavor. The zucchini and mushrooms soak up the marinade beautifully, the bell peppers and onions get sweet as they char, and the cherry tomatoes add a juicy pop of brightness.

For best results, cut the vegetables into larger pieces so they don’t fall through the grill grates. You can also thread them onto skewers or cook them in a grill basket for easier handling.

Simple Enough for Weeknights, Flavorful Enough for Guests

One of the best things about this marinade is how versatile it is. You can use it for a quick weeknight dinner, prep it ahead for a backyard barbecue, or keep it in your recipe rotation when you want something easy that still feels a little special.

Let your meat, poultry, seafood, tofu, or vegetables marinate for 1–2 hours before grilling or cooking. Before adding anything raw to the marinade, be sure to reserve a tablespoon in a separate clean container so you have a safe finishing drizzle ready to use after cooking.

Serving Ideas

Serve your grilled protein, tofu, or vegetables over rice, couscous, quinoa, or a simple green salad. You can also tuck everything into warm pita, layer it onto a grain bowl, or serve it alongside roasted potatoes for an easy dinner.

However you serve it, this marinade is a simple way to add bold Olive & Vyne flavor to your next grilled dish.
