Broiled Grapefruit with Honey, Pistachio, and Dried Flower Petals
Grapefruit has been a breakfast staple for what seems like forever - but here's a fun twist on it. Broil it and smother it in honey! Perfect treat for Mother's Day or any brunch gathering.
Broiled Grapefruit with Honey, Pistachios, and Dried Flower Petals
Broiled grapefruit drizzled with honey, then sprinkled with pistachios, dried flower petals, and Starlight Herb's Lavender sugar. Pairs great with the Lemon, Lavender, and Cornmeal waffles.
Set oven to Broil. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper or foil.
Cut the grapefruit in half (each half serves one person). Cut a thin slice off the bottom so the grapefruit sits level on the sheet pan with the fruit side up. Remove any seeds visible. Drizzle with honey and place under the broiler for about 4-5 minutes. Let cool slightly
Sprinkle with pistachios, dried flower petals, and a few dashes of Lavender Sugar, and perhaps a little more honey if you like grapefruit on the sweeter side. Serve immediately.
